About

About ChETL

ChETL is a modular learning platform for chemical engineering, built to make the reasoning behind a result visible—not just the result.

What ChETL is

ChETL — the Chemical Engineering Teaching and Learning Platform — is a modular learning platform for chemical engineering. It pairs guided theory with a transparent computational engine so that a result can be followed from its first assumptions to its final value.

Around a single calculation, ChETL connects guided theory, transparent computation, a step-by-step numerical trace, interpretation, and assessment — with AI-assisted learning woven alongside as one capability within that architecture, not the centre of it. The aim is understanding a result can be reconstructed, rather than a number accepted on trust.

Why it exists

ChETL exists to close the distance between getting an answer and understanding it. By connecting theory, computation, interpretation, and assessment around the same result, the platform is built to show learners how and why a result is obtained — not only what it is.

Scope

What exists today, and where it is heading.

ChETL is modular by design. Chemical engineering thermodynamics is its first module and foundation; the platform is built to grow across the chemical-engineering curriculum.

Intended direction indicates planned scope, not current functionality. Sequence and coverage will evolve as the platform grows.

Current status

An independently developed project, in active development.

ChETL is an independently developed educational project in active development. Development is proceeding incrementally, beginning with chemical engineering thermodynamics and extending module by module.
